The British Museum and British Library shared the same building for almost 250 years. At a cost of £500 million the Library moved away, but now we have put them back together. Our guide will meet you at 10.15a.m. at the Museum for coffee. If you are interested in ancient civilisations, this is the place for you. It houses great treasures such as the Elgin Marbles, Rosetta Stone and Portland Vase. The museum is vast, however our expert guide will ensure that you see the highlights while minimising the walking. There will be time for lunch at the museum and then

it’s a short drive to the British Library. Prince Charles was, apparently, not impressed by this striking, red-brick building, however the stark exterior belies a light and airy interior containing many works of art and a stunning six storey glass tower of a library within a library. Our guide will explain the logistics of the place and take you around the gallery where some of the most important and rare items from the Library's collections are housed including Magna Carta, Shakespeare's First Folio and even the Beatles’ lyrics. There will be time for tea before you head off home by 4.45p.m.
