Clerkenwell was originally one of the many villages around the City of London and still has something of a village feel today. It has undergone a total renaissance since the mid 1990s when it was fast becoming very rundown. Today it is thriving and makes for a fascinating visit with its mixture of old and new. curative waters, priories and archers and you will see a tudor gatehouse, an 18th century church, a House of Detention and much more besides. After a break for lunch we drive to Camden to board a boat for a ride on the Regent's Canal to Little Venice. You can sit back, relax and listen to our guide's commentary and enjoy the ever-changing view as you pass by a royal park, a zoo, opulent mansions and elegant townhouses, before arriving in delightful Little Venice where tea has been booked. You will be leaving by 4.45p.m.
