This is the perfect day out in London for groups who know the capital well and want to do something a bit different.
Our guide will be waiting for you at 10.30a.m. in the City of London and after coffee it's off to Wesley's Chapel.
No one could accuse John Wesley of being a slouch. He got up at 4a.m. every day and during his life preached 40,000 sermons, wrote countless hymns, travelled 250,000 miles, founded Methodism — and built this chapel. During the visit you'll see the house Wesley lived in as well as his burial place and a museum where you can learn more about this great man's life

and work. Then you return to the coach for a short drive to Islington Green where you break for lunch. Our afternoon is taken up by a gentle walking tour of the district once known as 'Merrie Islington', and famous for its spas and green fields. In the 19th century the transport revolution changed Islington into a busy suburb with fine squares and town houses. Recent gentrification has restored those properties to their original splendour.
There are also small theatres, literary personalities, lost rivers and a 16th century tower to discover.
We finish the day with tea and you'll be leaving by 4.45p.m.
