Today we celebrate a great 19th century military hero and meet some real life Chelsea pensioners. Your day in London starts at 10a.m. in Victoria where you meet our guide for coffee. Apsley House was the London home of Arthur Wellesley, first Duke of Wellington. The present Duke still has an apartment here and can vaunt the exclusive address, No 1 London. Today many of the rooms in the building house the Wellington Museum where you have your guided tour. The centrepiece of the House is the fabulous Waterloo Gallery with treasures and works of art that relate to the first Duke's life

and times. After lunch we make our way over to the Royal Hospital Chelsea, an impressive, Wren-designed building, where we spend the afternoon. This is home to more than 400 Pensioners who lead a military-style retired life in wonderful surroundings. For our tour we are in the expert hands of a Chelsea Pensioner. Who better than to tell us what life here is really like? After our tour there is time for tea and you will be on your way home by 4.15p.m.
The price of this tour includes a gratuity of 50p for the Chelsea Pensioner.
