Today we take a look at a secret world set apart from the normal hustle and bustle of London’s streets. We explore the ancient lanes and alleyways of the Inns of Court. Since the 14th century lawyers have inhabited this enclave strategically placed between the City and Westminster, London’s two great powerhouses.

Temple Hall and whenever possible visit the round, 12th century church of the Knights Templar. Then we move on to the Royal Courts of Justice on the Strand. Please note that cameras are not allowed inside the building.
After lunch we drive into the City to see the other great law court, the Old Bailey. We also pass by Staple Inn, a rare half-timbered survivor of Elizabethan London. We leave the coach to take a look at Lincoln’s Inn — its members have included eleven Prime Ministers.
There is time for tea before you set off for home by 4.45p.m.
