All our prices are based on a minimum group size of 30 people. You get your group together, book your coach and we do everything else.

We do all we can to make sure the day out with your group is going to be a total success. We always do our best to be fair and reasonable but are sure you will understand there must be some rules and regulations so both you and Town and Around know where we stand. Please take a few moments to read through the following, it forms the basis of a legally-binding contract between us. If there is anything you do not understand ring us up and our friendly staff will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

BEFORE YOUR TOUR

WHAT YOU DO
You must have at least 30 people in your group, or be willing to pay for a minimum of 30.

BEFORE you book your coach, ring us on

to make sure that the tour you wish to take will be running on the day you wish to take it. The overwhelming majority of our tours run on the day we say they will but there can always be the odd exception.

WHAT WE DO
After speaking to you, we check that the tour can proceed in the way described in our brochure. We also book the guide and then ring you back, usually to say it's all systems go. At the time this website was produced all the descriptions were, to the best of our knowledge, correct but we have to reserve the right to alter any tour should it be necessary. All our prices are guaranteed, the only exception being that if there is a change in the price one of our suppliers charges then the tour price has to go up, or down, as appropriate. Should there be any changes we shall let you know as soon as possible.

WHAT YOU DO
Ring a coach company and book a coach for the day of the tour. Two important things: the coach must have a working microphone or else the guide will not be able to give a commentary. Also there has to be a spare crew or front seat for the guide, it is illegal for anyone to stand or sit on the floor of a coach. All the tour descriptions give the coach mileage which is measured from the time our guide gets on the coach at the start of the tour until he or she leaves at the end — the coach company will need to know this. Fill in the booking form and send it to us with a £30 deposit.

WHAT WE DO
After receiving your booking form and checking it through we will send you a letter of confirmation.

WHAT YOU DO
Send us the money! We must have the total amount outstanding at least ten days before the tour date. BUT any tour including a trip on the London Eye has to be paid at least a month in advance — their rules not ours.

WHAT WE DO
We send you a receipt after receiving your cheque. At least a week before your tour we also contact your coach company to confirm where you will be picking up our guide and supply them with the guide's mobile phone number, we also send this to you. It can be useful if one of your party has a mobile phone on the day so that we can pass the number on to our guide.

ON THE DAY OF YOUR TOUR
All you have to do is sit back and enjoy your day out with us. In the very unlikely event of anything going wrong please let our guide know as soon as you can and they will try to put it right there and then. If you are still unhappy let us know, in writing, within 14 days of your tour.

Although we arrange the venues for tea and coffee stops we do not make any money out of them. This means that it is up to you to pay the venue directly and individually. The exceptions are where we have specifically included a tea in the price of the day out, namely the 'Contrasts Of Kent' tour.

Similarly with pub suppers, you pay the pub on the night.

Should your coach arrive very late at the start of your tour Town And Around will not be liable for any changes to the itinerary which may then be necessary. In particular, our guides can only work a fixed number of hours, and there are similar rules covering your coach driver. If the programme has to shortened there will be no refund. The only exception is if your coach is very late and it makes it impossible to visit an attraction for which the price you paid includes an entry fee. In such cases we will pay you back the money if we can obtain a refund from the site.

Town And Around can't be held responsible if we have to change an itinerary because of the breakdown of a coach or the London Eye.

If on the day of your visit an attraction has to be closed we shall do our best to arrange an alternative in agreement with your group leader. Any money in your tour price which was to be used to pay an entry fee to the closed attraction will either be used to pay for the alternative or refunded to you at our earliest convenience. However, should the alternative attraction be more expensive it will be necessary for your group to pay the difference — we shall of course let you know in advance.

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
Some things are beyond control. Should it be necessary for you to cancel your tour let us know as soon as possible. If you cancel more than ten days before the date of your tour you will forfeit your deposit but we are willing to count it as a deposit on a future tour with us so long as that is taken within a year. If you cancel your tour ten or fewer days before it is due to take place we shall refund any money sent to us except for a cancellation charge of £200 per full day or £150 per half day or evening. If we have not received the full payment for the tour ten days before it is due to take place we shall make every reasonable effort to contact you but we have to maintain the right to cancel the tour and invoice you for the appropriate cancellation charge. For the London Eye, once the tickets have been paid for, which must be done at least a month before your tour date there are no refunds or changes available to these tickets, again it's their rule not ours. Should for any reason a member of your party have to drop out after you have confirmed your booking we will refund that person or persons' individual tour price minus any prepaid entry fees for which we cannot obtain a refund and an administration fee of £2 for any cheque we have to issue. However, you must still have a minimum of 30 in your group or be willing to pay for that number.
