'There's gold in them there hills' went up the cry, and they were right! Golden limestone and almost unlimited wealth from the wool trade have made the Cotswolds one of the most stunning parts of England. We will be taking the pace easy, giving you time to see small towns as well as the countryside but keeping the walking to a minimum. We start at Burford, the 'gateway to the Cotswolds'. Here you meet our guide for coffee at 10.30a.m. This delightful small town is famous for its wide, steep High Street where wool cloth was once traded. Our morning coach tour passes through unspoilt villages, bustling market towns and past

fields enclosed with dry stone walls. We stop for lunch in one of the Cotswolds' most picturesque towns, Chipping Campden, planned back in the 12th century, it boasts many magnificent medieval buildings. There is a chance to take a look at its famous 'wool church', St James's, with our guide and to learn about a historic sporting event. We rejoin the coach to continue on to the highest Cotswold town, Stow-on-the-Wold where we stop for a closer look. You may want to take a peak at some of the tempting antique shops for which the town is famous. You rejoin the coach for the final part of our tour to finish back in Burford for tea. You'll be on your way home by 4.45p.m.
